Intuitive Painting or drawing (click for class info) is different from an art class and learning skills and techniques of how to paint. It is different from painting something to go on your wall as a “work of art.”
Intuitive Expression is a powerful spiritual creative process that will guide you to develop your intuition, self-expression, and deeper knowledge of your Self. You will unleash your creative self and feel ALIVE & FREE to be all of who you are!
This creative process will allow you to access all your feelings, to feel fulfilled, courageous, love, joy, grief, anger…whatever you feel in the moment—from the INSIDE OUT! It isn’t about anyone telling you how or why and why not. It will allow you to expand, to become bigger than you may know, to unleash your wildness, your creative spirit and aliveness!
It will help you release things that block you or keep you stuck, like the need for external approval or comparing yourself to others, or the need to be perfect. These self-expressed paintings may not be beautiful even. You will learn to allow all your feelings and express them through the painting process.
Intuitive Expression will help you to free yourself from so much! You will begin to feel more freedom in your choices, your relationships, your life, and your work. It can guide you to a life that you love--as you choose to create it! It is known in life that to master anything takes practice. This form of expression is a spiritual creative practice to be sure! It isn’t a one-time thing. It asks us to commit to our growth and expansion by practicing it. When I was studying Creation Spirituality to earn my Master’s Degree in 1994, I learned that this is a form of Art as Meditation. It is deep soul work. I have transformed my life with Intuitive Painting and Drawing and it is an ongoing experience with my Soul that I cherish. My expression is different every time I paint. It may be ugly or pretty, colorful or dark, wild or calm. Sometimes my paintings look childlike. It’s all part of following the brush and allowing what wants to be expressed to appear.
Intuitive Expression focuses on the creative process not on the results. It is a personal process and relationship between you and your Soul, or inner self. In other words, it’s about the journey, not the destination.
