After being in what feels like "incubation" for the past year are you yearning to reconnect with the world and rejuvenate your life again? In a new way? So much has been left behind in 2020. It was a year like no other! We've had to adapt, and be flexible and live differently. We've been in a quieter, quarantined state and many of us have been in deep reflection and introspection. Many of us have spent more time alone than ever before. Have you felt isolated and sometimes out of sorts--out of balance, wondering what on earth is next? Everything is still so uncertain and in flux. I have a feeling this is what life is going to be like now! Thankfully, my creative self-expression has helped to guide me through these months and kept me in touch with who I am, even as I change ever so quickly! Sometimes it's so quickly that I don't even recognize myself.
Let's join together in co-creative community for an inspirational morning of new ways of sparking our expression, looking with our inner eyes and heart at what we want to create, heal, and transform. Let's enliven ourselves, our focus and clarity! Let's champion our intentions! Creativity comes in many forms, each of us chooses our own way. Mandala Making, or drawing in circles, is a powerful way to bypass our monkey mind of what we think we should do, and let our hearts guide us to what we truly desire to create next in our lives. Drawing in circles this way requires no artistic experience of making anything look like something. This form of drawing is intuitive and can be abstract. Your intuition will guide you.

SUPPLY LIST:
A piece or two of black charcoal drawing paper 9" x 12" or larger
A couple of white "colored pencils" and a small box of at least 7 Prisma Color Pencils. These are the softest pencils and the ones I recommend for this special illuminating mandala practice.
(magenta 930, aquamarine 905, canary yellow 916, orange 918, spring green 913, violet 932, white938)
A pencil sharpener
A pink pearl eraser
A round bowl, plate or cardboard template to trace a circle that fits onto your chosen paper or canvas size
A candle or LED Candle
Writing paper and pen, journal, or notebook
Optional: A protractor, other shapes or templates you might like to trace or use
You will need access to Wi Fi and a Computer with a camera and microphone for ONLINE Classes
Please adjust your screen so that I can see your hands and materials while drawing.
You must download the Zoom app for a laptop or phone.

I came into the workshop sorely in need of the space to see my Soul, my Reality, my Heart, my Freedom. I needed to stop and breathe into an empty, inviting space. Your encouragement to envision 2020, to make dots the prayers, to keep trusting my intuition, to look at the contrast and be open to outlines resulted in deep reflection. In Carol Lorraine's Intuitive Painting experience I grew. It was uncomfortable for me to "stretch" in the ways my intuition wanted me to. I came to understand it is because I had not been paying it enough attention. I lost my father a few months ago and took this workshop to help me work through my ever-changing grief. It really helped free me by elevating my spirit and healing my heart. Carol's soul inquiries and guidance throughout the morning were well paced and inspired some deep movements both in the strokes of my hand and my selection of colors. My palette was my intuition and my experience with Carol was medicine. Thank you, Carol. I truly felt "Alive with Creating!"

The seed is in a box. The box keeps it safe and protected and originally the seed is open. The latch on the box becomes closed. The roots of the seed seek the earth through the bottom of the box. There are obstacles that it grows around. A beautiful fragile flower does burst up with the nourishment of the earth. It loses petals and cries. The flower remains radiant. The tears become golden treasures. The obstacles become new seeds and a powerful strong grand flower appears. This one is supported by a divine pillar of silver and gold.

I just wanted to thank you, with a deep bow, for the beautiful experience I had at your one-day creative Intuitive Painting experience. I have been transitioning from a marriage, a business, and into a deeper level of spiritual growth. Your love and encouragement really helped me to pull up on the "trying too hard" state of mind, and just get into the flow. Your ability to gently remind everyone that it's about process, or mystery rather than mastery, really gave me the permission to just play. I released my need to be perfect, and just explored. I came away with a deep sense of satisfaction, and I felt really calm; my mind could rest. The voices, or self-talk, had taken a little vacation. I could breathe again. In truth, that's what it felt like, a mini vacation spent with a lovely gathering of women. Thank you so much for your devotion to teaching, and your craft.
