Ask yourself, If time and money were not an object, what would I do?
Make a list to get your heart talking to you! Now, what do you want to do with this list? Make a list of 100 things you love Journal about what you are grateful for every day for a week Spend at least 10 minutes a day outdoors with nature Create a special place in your workplace and one at home where you have pictures, photos, objects that you love and that make your heart sing Sing from your heart once a day for a week (yes, it can be in the car or the shower). Just make it up. Open your mouth and let sounds come out however they want to. Move your body. Let your body show you how it wants to move. Start by sitting, standing or lying down. Then just let your body move however it wants to and enjoy the surprises! Put on some favorite music and listen, dance or sing along! Make a collage: Set a timer for 20 minutes. Look through your old magazines, photos, greeting cards, calendars, ripping out images that “speak” to you. Start an image file with them. Set a timer for 30 minutes. Choose images from your file and put them together on a piece of cardboard in a collage. Set it in a place where you see it daily. How does your collage relate to the 100 things you love, or your what if time and money were no object ideas? Creative Book of the Month Creating Your Indoor Fountain Garden: Expressions of the Self, by Paris Mannion, LCSW So many of you have asked me about how to make an indoor fountain. Paris has written a great little book about the how-to’s as well as including interesting topics like the fountain as an act and symbol of creation, your fountain as a healing tool, and fountains in history. You will even see photos of some of my fountains. Contact Paris at [email protected] or http://www.buildfountains.com |
